Meet the talented farmer and producer, Becky Dart, and explore of her farm. Learn some tips and tricks to try at home when Chef Bethany’s does her cooking demonstration. Becky, the founder of Big Heart Bamboo, is an award-winning grower and producer of fresh edible premium bamboo shoots and products, which she supplies to restaurants and retailers. Her bamboo is growing on her family’s Belli Park property established by her farther, Durnford Dart.

The 100 acre farm is home to Bamboo Australia and is one of, if not, the largest established bamboo plantations in Australia and forms part of the Belli Bamboo Parkland, not far from Eumundi on the Sunshine Coast. Bamboo Australia produces plants, poles, bench tops and flooring, as well as singlets and socks...

At Belli Park you will hear Becca’s story as a grower and producer of bamboo shoots. This amazing young woman is passionate and believes in sustainable growing practices. She believes that localised, healthy eating coupled with a contemporary, dynamic lifestyle is the key to living well.

On 18 April we are taking the people and the plates to the plantation where the food is grown. We are setting up our amazing Restaurant Without Walls under the tops of the bamboo. We will serve five courses, showcasing some bamboo shoots and other local produce and paired with wines. We can’t wait. See you there.
